COLLEGE SIGNING DAY
Michelle Obama’s Better Make Room campaign is dedicated to enhancing students' higher education opportunities. They sought to transform their annual #CollegeSigningDay celebration, typically held on campus at a major university, into a dynamic online event for high school seniors across the country that retained the excitement of past celebrations. They turned to Really Useful Media to deliver a high-production-value experience, rooted in our expertise in transforming in-person events into high-energy virtual experiences.
CAPTIVATING AUDIENCE IN REAL-TIME AND BEYOND
To engage the target audience of high school students, we developed dynamic motion graphics to drive the energy and flow. This approach allowed us to edit diverse content—including self-filmed celebrity messages and student performances—into a cohesive program that captivated both live and on-demand audiences. We also provided multilingual captions to meet accessibility needs and broaden the event’s reach to Spanish- and Chinese-speaking students and their families.
INNOVATING THROUGH EXPERIENCE
In the second year of our collaboration, we built on the lessons learned and streamlined the content into a six-minute highlight video, complemented by shorter, targeted social media clips to maximize reach and engagement. This approach not only made the content more digestible but also addressed the need for adaptability in response to viewer feedback.
